Tattoo Addiction
August was quite an eventful, stabby month. I gained 4 tattoos! 2 done by myself, 1 by Amy, and 1 by Brittany Sinclair (@caoineag on instagram). Yes, I did 2 to myself – in fact, I have done 6 so far, with two having had touch ups. Right now I have 20 tattoos, or 37 hours of work. Britt has the most real estate on my body, tho – she did the Ragsdale family coat of arms on my leg, a stick man with bandanna and a joint in its mouth pushing a leaf blower on top right side of my pubes, a yggdrasil/double helix custom design on my left forearm, and now… a custom Fenrir biting the sun, which contains three runes for protection, strength and guidance, its neck transforming into PCB lines/connectors… on the left side/back of my head! I freaking love it, but man… 3 weeks of hair growth later and you can BARELY see it! I’m gonna hafta get to shaving.
It’s healed up quite well; needs a wee bit o’touch up… it was suggested I wax my head. OW! OH HELL NO! I’ll stick with shaving. Meanwhile… I needed more stabbing, so I decided to do two more to myself – the delta vee equation on my right thigh (hereby dubbed my DIY Science-y leg), and a simple heart on the top left side of my pubic area. Sorry, not sorry – not sharing that image here! I can say that tattooing myself is a completely different experience from getting a tattoo from another person. I can’t wait til my left leg is fully healed so I can get to fixing the Kali logo there… it bothers me!!!
Oh yeah, the fourth? It was actually the first of all…
First, I tattooed on Amy an impossible triangle. My first time tattooing another person, and the fact she trusted me enough to do something permanent on her was humbling. I did my best, and found it easier to focus on the lines as opposed to tattooing oneself! It came out pretty good, and I’m proud of this one. Now, for the fun part? I had her tattoo Your Name on my ass. Specifically, left butt cheek. Yes, your name… no, seriously. “Your Name” with a smile underneath! Drawn by none other than Amy! I owe her half of all my winnings at bars, but that’s a debt I’m alright with! It was quite an experience, I’ll tell ya… No Ragrets!
