Tattoos, Mead, Home Improvement, 42.

It’s been a WHILE since my last tattoo! Monica at Weaving Spider Tattoo did Old Man Harley’s geometric tattoo back on November 14th, 2024. Britt Sinclair touched up my Fenrir head tattoo a year ago on March 17th, 2025 (and also did a quick 7 minute wave line tattoo). I haven’t given myself a tattoo in a longer while, mostly because I will only allow myself my upper thighs. Not that much real estate to work with, and I gotta avoid my left leg for a long while.

I’ve been following Forest Souls Tattoo for 2 or 3 years now, even reached out to see if she travels north to tattoo. Not often, but will holla… Then! Out of nowhere, I see she posted that she’s gonna open a shop in NorCal!!! w00tw00tw00t, of course I reached out, we got to talking about what I wanted…

I’ve got Lia and Harley tattooed on me. It’s time to get Marley AND Capt’n – and cause it’s a 4 hour drive, of course I’m gonna go for two at the same time! I knew I wanted a line sketch of Marley, as she’s such a floofer… Capt’n gotta be a cartoonish dog wearing a captain’s uniform – after all, her full name is Captain Kathryn Janeway! Deposit was made, the wait was forever… THEN!!! IT WAS TIME!

Brenna’s shop was hella spic n span, sanitized like a doc’s office would be – yet warm and inviting. She’s still getting set up, but the front part was pretty much set. Hell yea, let’s get a-stabbin! She def made sure I was at ease and comfortable (well… as comfortable as one can be while getting stabbed a million times per minute on the side of one’s ribs?), answered a lot of my (often random) queries about everything.

Damn, damn, DAAAMMMNNN – she def caught both my ladies’ personalities!!! Ok, so this ain’t the best pic – it was taken the next day and the saniderm is still on, Marley’s eyes is all black, I will have to come back and post a new pic after it’s fully healed, but here you go!

Hell yea, she totally caught Marley’s RBF Akita ‘tude, and the complete derpiness that is my dearest velcro dawg named after the best female Starfleet Captain ever!

If you’re ever in the Sacto area and itching for a stabbin, Brenna got ya! Trinity County – head on over to Weaving Spider Tattoo! Rottenchester area (ahem, Rochester, NY…) Britt will be glad to stab ya!

Home Improvement

I’m one hella lucky hijo de puta – my landlord is an awesome guy, and I ain’t tellin you who he is! I get to deduct the cost of materials from rent, and fix this place up. The kitchen has gone through a HUGE transformation since I started to be able to walk after breaking my leg. It all started with a skeletal corner cabinet that was ‘covered up’ by a piece of plywood… painted the bathroom… a paint job on that corner cabinet area… no, wait, paint the entire kitchen! Oi, a shit ton of spackle – then paint more! Wait, bathroom needs a paint touch-up and a lil more spackling… DOORS! Oh yeah, that was hella sexy build for the corner cabinet. Hmm, I need storage – SHELVES! Supported by black cast iron pipes, the kitchen got 3 5.5′ wide, 1′ deep, 2″ thick red oak shelving stained a light tan-red while the bathroom got early american stain on dark walnut, also supported by black cast iron pipes. THEN, the major kicker – a floor upgrade, from concrete floor to floating wood flooring – now this is looking more and more like a real home! I still need 2 more boxes to finish the bathroom, but gonna hold off ’til I’m ready to build a new bathroom cabinetry – the current one, I think it was installed as a used cabinet, is falling apart. I’m thinking… black cast iron pipes as the framing, walnut drawer faces and door with red oak face frame/body, and a redwood live edge slab as the countertop.

WAIT! I FORGOT TO MENTION!!! I spent about 6-7 weeks working on a new kitchen island top – cut a 8′ long, ~1′ wide and 3″ thick live edge redwood slab into half, cleaned up the sides, and made a sexxxxxxxy river pour tabletop! I’ve been super busy since, at some point I need to get back to shop and finish the body/framing for this island. But hey, check out the top…

Some before/after pics of the kitchen…

MEAD!!!

I’m back at it!!! Currently in secondary for both Stonefury and Deadeye Reserve (both are 1 gallon batches). I’m also in progress of building my own mead app, stay tuned!

Stonefury: Buckwheat honey and pitted dark cherries in primary, medium-toasted oak cubes and cinnamon stick in secondary. Estimated to be ~10-12% abv when ready for bottling in 1-3 weeks.

Deadeye Reserve: Orange blossom honey, crushed white grapes, cubed bosc pears in primary, medium-toasted oak cubes and bourbon vanilla bean in secondary. Estimated to be 16-17% abv when ready for bottling in 2-4 weeks.

Both recipes were created as a gift for one of my business partner’s late baby shower gift, in honor of her DND characters, and she will be receiving a full sized bottle of both!

Sometimes in the next week or so, I’ll start gathering all ingredients to make the second batch of…

HADE’S CRIMSON!!!!

Stay tuned!

Life… goes on. I’ve had lots of ups and downs, but always maintaining a positive outlook much as I can.

GENEVIEVE Technology is a side business that Rachel, Jena and I started back in August 2025. Bootstrappin’ aint easy – but we’ve managed to get Deaf^ back up and running, hired an awesomely kick ass dude to ASLize (and interpret Jesse-speak into sensible English, ha!) the curriculum we have and… SOON, launch!!!  Those ladies are hella awesome, and I’m forever in debt to them for taking on Deaf^.

Last summer, I signed a baby’s book – topic is extremely relevant to one of my previous college majors – for Bilingual Story Bookshelf, and I’ve seen the edited videos… HELLS YEA! Can’t wait for it to release – hopefully this summer, but more likely sometimes in Fall 2026. If you got a deaf baby ages 0-5, go and download this app! You all will benefit!!

Oh yea, that was one hella big paycheck from that 2-ish week sesh, and of course… OF FREAKING COURSE, I had to…

I just hadda.

Treated myself to a 1973 Harley Davidson Ironhead! It’s not running – a project bike. Got some ideas to throw in a wee bit o’high tech (starlink mini, LiFePO4 batteries, built in GPS) but this ain’t no rush of a project.

Yep, that’s my lectric xp 3.0 behind the Ironhead – been a massive help with my leg recovery. I’m now able to fully pedal with both legs, while having the tip of both feet on both pedals. I can pump my left leg with maybe… 70% of the power my right leg pumps. I’m able to walk up and down stairs independently without having to lean on rails/walls for support. I still can’t bend my left leg all the way, I’d say I have maybe 30-40% more range left to go… will I ever have full range of motion? Nope. I hope to get it down maybe 15% more, just so I can hopefully jump again… if I can jump, I can run… If I can jump and run?

I can float on onewheels again!

tenderly. carefully. left leg armor perhaps.

As they say in Klingon…

Heghlu’meH QaQ jajvam! Today is a good day to die!

Later, haters, Romeo Alpha Bravo Delta India Golf Three Three Kilo, out!

p.s.
I’ve been getting into Ham Radio… YES! A DEAF MAN! Studying to get his Ham Radio License, hell to the fuck yea!
